Savour the authentic essence of Canarian gastronomy. Enjoy the most representative flavours of the island with a selection of traditional dishes, local wines, and the renowned Canarian rums. Embark on a unique culinary experience while exploring places steeped in history and tradition.
Our first stop takes us to the Banana Museum at Hacienda La Rekompensa, an iconic site where you will learn all about banana cultivation, the most famous fruit of the Canary Islands.
Discover firsthand the secrets of growing these delicious fruits in a privileged natural setting.
You won’t just see bananas—you’ll taste them. Enjoy this delicacy in different forms: wines, liqueurs, jams, and other banana-based products that will surprise you with their exquisite flavours.
At the Arehucas Rum Distillery, explore Spain’s most famous rum factory, with over 140 years of history.
Learn about the production process of Arehucas rum and its deep connection to Canarian culture.
Wander through the legendary Arehucas cellars. Walk among century-old barrels while uncovering the secrets of rum distillation. Learn about its most iconic varieties and the ageing process.
Enjoy a tasting session where you can sample up to four different types of rum, from the youngest varieties to the exclusive 12-year-old premium rums. If you wish to try the oldest rums, you can do so for a small supplement.
After the rum tasting, we will head to Puerto de las Nieves (also known as Agaete’s harbour) for lunch and some free time.
Be amazed by the highest cliffs in Europe at Puerto de las Nieves. Marvel at the majestic Dragon’s Tail, where Pico de Faneque rises impressively to 1,027 metres.
Make the most of your free time in Agaete’s harbour. Stroll through its charming streets, savour local cuisine at seafront restaurants, or relax in one of the island’s most spectacular natural pools.
If you fancy a meal, we have the perfect recommendation for you. We will suggest a restaurant where you can enjoy a varied menu for just €15 per person—an excellent opportunity to taste Canarian cuisine at a great price.
Our final major stop takes us to the Agaete Valley, home to the only coffee plantation in Europe with a protected designation of origin. Visit Finca Los Berrazales and discover the fascinating process of coffee cultivation and production.
At the estate, enjoy a tasting session featuring Canarian products, including a wine tasting with three varieties: white, rosé, and red.
Learn how to prepare the authentic Canarian sauce known as “mojo picon”. Take part in a workshop where you will uncover the secrets of the Canary Islands’ most famous sauce. Afterwards, savour it with traditional papas arrugadas, the signature dish of Canarian gastronomy.
To end our visit to Finca Los Berrazales and wrap up our excursion, find the perfect spot to take in the breathtaking views of Agaete Valley—one of the most stunning landscapes on the island.
From the estate, we will head south to drop you off at your original pick-up point.
We hope that by the time you return to your accommodation, you will feel that you have experienced a tour full of flavours, aromas, history, and the unique landscapes of Gran Canaria.
