At its most prominent attraction, the DEEP SEA pool, you’ll discover the largest curved window in the world, measuring over 7 metres in height and spanning 36 metres in length. Here, you can encounter over 350 fish species and 8 diverse types of sharks, each varying in size.
Another standout feature of Poema del Mar is the reef, a curvilinear pool standing over 10 metres high. Housing 400,000 litres of water, it is home to smaller species. Thanks to the facility’s design, visitors can observe these creatures from various angles and heights, enhancing the immersive experience.

You can also download the Poema del Mar app once you come to get an interactive guide, in Spanish, English or German, with information about the aquarium next to you.
The tour of Poema del Mar typically lasts around 3 hours with no extended breaks. Should you wish to enjoy breakfast or lunch, you can do so at reasonable prices in the bar-restaurant, all while observing the fish in a large tank.

How far in advance do I have to book, what is the booking process, and what voucher do I need to present?
We recommend booking at least one day in advance. Upon booking, you’ll receive a provisional voucher via email as proof of your purchase. We’ll send you the final voucher within 3 hours, which you’ll need to present at Poema del Mar.
How long is the voucher valid for?
The booking voucher remains valid for 1 month from the date of booking. This allows you to visit any day within the 30-day period following your booking date.”
How do I get here?
Poema del Mar is located at Avenida de los Consignatarios s/n
If you find yourself in Las Palmas de G.C. and are quite a distance from Poema del Mar, you have a couple of options. You can opt for a taxi ride or catch a bus to Parque Santa Catalina, from where it’s just a 5-minute stroll to the Aquarium.
If you are arriving by bus from the south of the island, you can head to the bus station at Parque Santa Catalina and then walk over to the Aquarium.
For those coming by car, parking is available at Centro Comercial el Muelle (with the first 3 hours free) or in the car park near Poema del Mar.
And if you’ve booked the Hop-on Hop-off bus, there’s a stop just a stone’s throw away from the aquarium.”
