Around the Island tour – Puerto de Mogan – Agaete – Las Canteras
Discover the most beautiful towns, places, and landscapes along the coast of Gran Canaria on the Around the Island Tour. Accompanied by an official guide, you will receive insightful information about the most fascinating sites on the excursion and about the island as a whole.
The tour starts from the Maspalomas – Playa del Inglés area and heads towards Puerto de Mogán, one of Gran Canaria’s premier tourist attractions. Known as the “Little Venice,” Puerto de Mogán is a romantic and charming destination, featuring white, two-storey Mediterranean-style houses adorned with flowers.
Stroll through its pedestrian streets, along its small canals, and around its spectacular marina.
On the way to La Aldea, we will pass through a place known as Los Azulejos, an area declared a Site of Geological Interest due to the vibrant colours that emerge from the mountain walls.
On the route from La Aldea to Puerto de Agaete, we will uncover Europe’s tallest cliffs, with the highest peak, Pico de Faneque, towering over 1000 meters above sea level.
On days with good visibility, during the journey, we may catch sight of the peak of Teide, Spain’s highest mountain standing at 3,718 meters tall, located on the neighbouring island of Tenerife.
Once we arrive at Puerto de Agaete, you will have approximately 90 minutes of free time to enjoy as you please. If you wish to have lunch, the guide will recommend some restaurants where you can choose between à la carte or set menu options.
You can also take the opportunity to stroll through its streets, visit its hermitage, its pier, and its beach, and enjoy the magnificent views of the cliffs, known as the Dragon’s Tail.
If you prefer a short walk, about 10 minutes from the beach, you will discover one of the most beautiful natural pools on the island.Once our time in Puerto de Agaete is over and we head towards Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, we willl make a brief stop at a banana plantation so you can learn about its fascinating cultivation process. While visiting the plantation is optional, it’s an experience worth savoring.
In our final stop, at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital of the island, you will have time to stroll along Las Canteras Beach, one of the best urban beaches in the world, or simply enjoy a final coffee before returning to your hotel.
Between 5:00 and 6:00 PM, you’ll likely arrive back at your accommodation. We trust that upon reminiscing about the tour, you’ll feel enriched, having explored and savored the highlights of our Around the Island adventure.
