Enjoy a catamaran tour to see dolphins, swim in the sea and do other water activities with your family, partner or friends.[cml_media_alt id='6527']Supercat catamaran[/cml_media_alt]

To go on this boat excursion to see dolphins, the first thing you should know about is our boat:  a vessel 30 metres long and 12 metres wide. It also has a capacity of 244 people, but in order to have a comfortable journey, there will only be up to 200 people on the boat. This way, you can move around at any time from the deck area, where you’ll find comfortable chairs, to the recreation area below deck.

Combing a relaxing boat ride with the excitement of seeing dolphins, the fun of aquatic activities and the beauty of Gran Canaria’s southern coast in what we hope will become one of the best experiences of your stay on the island.

Once we leave Puerto Rico, we will head along the coast for about 12 miles in search of dolphins, whales and other cetaceans. Although it is common for us to find dolphins (an 80% chance of seeing them), it is not guaranteed.

After searching for the dolphins, we will head toward a place near Puerto de Mogán, where we will weigh anchor in order to eat and to do various aquatic activities.

During this stop and before swimming, we can enjoy a meal comprised of salad, potatoes and gravy and marinated chicken, which will be served in the bar (temporarally changed for macaroni salad with peppers, onion, olives, millet, tuna and mayonnaise plus a piece of fruit for dessert). In this bar, located on the first floor of the boat and totally covered, you can drink soft drinks, beer and sangria throughout the entire journey. This area will also be the liveliest, thanks to the music that you will hear during the journey.

Important!

If you only want to do the dolphin trip, book this other boat tour.

What are the chances of whale watching in Gran Canaria?
Whale watching in Gran Canaria isn’t as common as seeing dolphins. It’s actually quite rare.

As dolphins tend to be closer to the surface and approach boats, whales only come to the surface to breathe, so they’re harder to spot.

What’s the chance of dolphin watching?
Dolphins are usually seen on 90% of outings.

How long in advance should I book?
Due to what was stated in the previous question, we recommend booking for one of the first days of your visit to Gran Canaria, that way if you don’t get to see cetaceans on your first strip, you’ll at least get a second chance to do the dolphin tour

Can you swim with the dolphins?
No, in Gran Canaria it isn’t only dangerous to swim with dolphins, it’s completely forbidden.

How long will we spend with the dolphins?
Usually, we don’t spend more than 5 or 10 minutes with a group of dolphins so we don’t stress them out. We spend almost the entire boat ride looking for cetaceans.

How long in advance do I have to be on the boat if I come on my own?
If you come on your own, you need to be at the boat at least 50 minutes before boarding.

Our great catamaran has its base in the harbor of Puerto Rico (Puerto Base), in the Southwest of Gran Canaria.

If you are staying in Bahía Feliz, San Agustin, Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas, Meloneras, Arguineguin, Taurito or Mogan you can choose, when booking (under “additional services”), the shuttle from your hotel.
