Buggy FAQs

  • In Gran Canaria, you need to have a driver’s license with 2 years of experience and present the original valid driver’s license to drive a buggy. Generally, you must also carry a credit card to guarantee the proper use of the buggies during the tour. Additionally, drivers must wear closed-toe shoes.

  • The passenger must be at least 8 years old and 135 cm tall. If they are underage, parents must sign a parental consent form before the tour begins.

  • Buggies are automatic, and with the guide’s instructions before the tour starts, driving the buggy will be very easy

  • Yes. If both drivers meet the requirements, they can take turns during the route stops.

  • To make the most of a buggy tour, consider these tips:

    • Wear closed-toe shoes and warm clothing to protect yourself from the wind, as buggies don’t have windows. Expect to end up quite dusty, so don’t wear your best clothes.
    • Apply sunscreen before starting the tour.
    • Do not take the tour if you are pregnant or have severe back problems.
    • Book the tour well in advance to guarantee your buggy.
  • Each buggy can accommodate 1 or 2 people. In the case of a family with minor children, each parent must ride with one child.

  • Usually, there are no more than 10 buggies on each tour, and if there are more, there will be an additional buggy with a guide.

  • Yes. The duration of the tour is the approximate time from beginning to end.

  • Yes. Unless there is very intense rain or a storm is forecasted, buggy tours are conducted as usual.

  • Quads are quite dangerous vehicles, and for safety reasons, we do not offer quad tours.

  • It depends on what you are looking for. If you just want to have fun driving, the 100% off-road route is your best option. But if you also want to see some beautiful landscapes of the island, you will prefer the route that combines asphalt roads with dirt paths.

Additionally, if you need pickup from your accommodation, choose the route based on whether they offer pickup service in your area.

  • Both routes offer pickup service at your accommodation, whether you are staying in Maspalomas, Meloneras, or Sonneland.

  • Both routes offer pick-up service at your establishment in Playa del Ingles.

  • The 100% off-road tour is the only one that offers transfer service from Puerto Rico, Amadores, Anfi and Arguienguin.

  • You can book any of the buggy tours if you need pick-up service in San Agustín and Bahía Feliz.

  • If you are staying in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria you will have to come on your own to the Bahía Feliz or San Agustín area, where we can pick you up to do any of the routes.

But if you come by car, we recommend the 100% off-road route because the starting point is closer to Las Palmas and leaves an hour later, so you won’t have to get up as early.

  • If you need a pick-up service from Puerto de Mogán, Playa del Cura or Taurito, the only possible option is the 100% off-road route.
